Thank you to everyone who joined us for our BBQ & Community Voices community meeting on June 6 in Port Arthur! It was a powerful evening of food, fellowship, and environmental awareness.
Residents gathered to hear important updates on local environmental justice efforts led by CIDA Inc., including clean air advocacy, climate resilience planning, green infrastructure projects, and the Solar for All initiative.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our Founder and Director, Hilton Kelley, for leading the conversation and sharing the vision behind our work.
We also thank our continued partners at the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) for joining us and sending a representative to engage with the community and speak on current environmental data and initiatives.
Community members shared valuable feedback, asked thoughtful questions, and connected over a delicious, free BBQ meal. Events like these help strengthen our shared commitment to building a healthier, more informed, and more resilient Port Arthur.

Stay connected — your voice continues to shape the future of our community.
